Reliable and affordable energy has been provided to the members. The Parker area has had near perfect and non-interrupted electrical service since 2011.Our levels of reliability for electrical service are one of the best in the nation. We kept your power on during the cold spell in mid February 2021 and winter storms in 2024 as compared to other areas in the USA that had rolling blackouts, powers loses and energy forced reductions.
The first CORE solar farm was brought on line during Jim's service on the board in 2016, adding solar energy capacity to the grid. Since then CORE has more than 200 megawatts of energy and more is being added each month.
During Jim's service on the CORE board the coop has refunded to you as our members cash patronage dividends totaling $120 million.
$12.5 million refund was approved in 2024 to our members. He is your CORE treasurer and audit committee member.
Balanced Energy, Having the right mix of traditional power source and renewables is important!
The CORE Board has approved contracts for 200 megawatts of solar energy at prices below CORE’s current purchased energy costs. Jim has pressed CORE to make roof top solar installation for homeowners as convenient as possible. Jim has been a member of VoteSolar since 2016. Jim recognize that a balance of traditional and new sources needs to be maintained.
99% attendance at CORE board, special, annual and audit meetings. Jim champions lower rates, reducing expenses and looking for power savings with sound financial options.
Managing a billion dollar plus electric supply, distribution-transmission enterprise demands not only expertise in finance, business law and management, but also a proven track record of informed decisive leadership.
